A clan-cat's name has two parts: a prefix and a suffix. Both must be something natural (not manmade) and in the cat world. A clan-cat's name changes with its age and rank, however its prefix stays the same. If your cat is very fast, his/her name would be: Swiftkit (as a kit) Swiftpaw (as an apprentice) and then perhaps Swiftfoot (as a warrior) then Swiftstar (as a leader).
-
Kit is the suffix used for all kits.
-
Paw is the suffix used for all apprentices.
-
Star is the suffix used for all leaders.
-
The prefix for a warrior is one of your choosing, anything to make your cat unique in its own way. Preferably another word to describe your cat. Swiftfoot means swift on his feet, where as Frostheart could mean a light colored cat or a cat with a cold heart.
-
Although the names are normally anything following the rules above, there are special cases. One of them is when two letters are the same. The prefix ends with one letter and the first letter of the suffix is the same. In that case, a dash would be put in between them; such as Frost-tail. Another time a dash would be placed in between the prefix and suffix is if there were two vowels; such as No-eye.

A cat's name is only capitalized at the beginning.

Cats in the wild are rarely full-blood breeds, however is does happen. Usually, though, we will ask that you have multiple breeds included.
-
Your cat can have many different variations of appearances. All must be realistic though. No abstract colors such as red eyes or a green pelt.

Breeding occurs during Newleaf and birthing happens as the season shifts into Greenleaf, the admins will use a randomizer for the size of the litter and the gender of each kit.
-
Cats can mate at the age of 14 moons, no younger.
-
Medicine Cats and all apprentices are restricted from mating.
-
Warriors can mate, though females will be considered Queens until their kits are old enough to become apprentices. Males will remain warriors throughout.
-
Two Toms can mate with the same Queen, though no one will know which kit belongs to which Tom and therefore it is considered disgraceful and looked down on.

In the beginning, to stake claim as a leader, you must post a pack gathering post. That way you are establishing your claim as a new (or old) Leader, and any clan cats can reply so you can dole out their respective ranks.
-
Each player may only have ONE leader at any given time. This is to ensure all possible fairness to the players of this RPG.
-
Also, the player of the Leader of a clan CANNOT also play the Deputy. This also ensures that everyone has a chance to become a leader of a clan at some point in time.
-
Leaders become Leaders three different ways.
-
The first is if the territory does not already have a Leader.
-
The second if they have been promoted to the rank of Deputy and the current Leader passes away/resigns/is killed.
-
The third is if a Warrior thinks the Leader is not doing a just job, he or she can challenge them for their position. It will be judged fairly by an admin. If an admin is a player, they cannot judge and is falls into the hands of another admin. If all of the admin are associated with the fight, then a player will be agreed upon to judge the battle.
-
Feral (wild) cats only live 5-6 years. However, leaders of the clans are allowed up to 8 or 9 years due to their 9 lives. Though many will lose lives due to sickness and being in the frontline of all battles their clan goes to.
-
Warriors must take a kit under their wing as an apprentice. To decline the privilege of teaching the future of the clan is dishonorable.
-
They are able to take up to three apprentices at any given time.
-
Medicine Cat's can only take on one apprentice at a time. When their apprentice has learned all the Medicine Cat can teach him (usually between 24 to 30 moons) is when it is announced to the clan. The Medicine Cat Apprentice will stay on as the apprentice, until such time as the current Medicine Cat steps down, then he will become the Medicine Cat.
-
After the Medicine Cat Apprentice is considered to be fit to take on the Medicine Cat's rank, the current Medicine Cat is allowed to take on a new apprentice. This is because the Medicine Cat is too important for a clan to loose, and if a raid on the clan was to happen and both the Medicine Cat and his Apprentice were to be killed, there would be no one to take over the position.
-
Kits become apprentices at 6 moons, no less. They may be a moon late due to a consequence of sneaking out or causing trouble; a punishment that leaders or parents often threaten to their kits if they're behaving badly.
-
Apprentices only become warriors when their mentors think the cat has learned all that they could teach them. They are given a final test and then, if the cat is successful, the warrior ceremony takes place.
-
Cats usually become elders at the age of about 5 or 6 years, the time when their warrior skills diminish to a point of being more of a hindrance than of help. If they've been hurt badly in battle they can resign early.
-
Your cat can be in one of the 4 clans. They are: ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan.
-
StarClan is a spirit clan, where all clan cats go when they pass over, if they follow the Warriors Code.
-
Kitty Pets are cats that live with Twolegs (humans).
-
Rogues are cats that have been cast out of the clans, usually. They often start bands, small groups, and invade the clans territories, paying no attention to the Warrior Code that the cats live by.
-
Loners are cats that are neither clan cats, rogues, or kittypets. They live along, often near twolegs, and occasionally can have a mate and kits, though their groups are never very big.
